ABOUT JULIANNE MCMULLEN

The pursuit of wealth has been one of the biggest motivators in my life since I was a child. Before I could get a formal job I found odd jobs around the neighborhood from lawn maintenance, babysitting, dog & house sitting and even helping elderly neighbors with chores. As the age of 14 approached I knew I wanted a job, through networking in the communities I was already involved in I found a job teaching swim lessons. Although I have had many jobs since, one has had the largest impact on me. Working at Red Barn Pet Retreat first as a handler then as a team manager allowed me to learn and expand as an employee, student, entrepreneur and person. Here, my love for business and entrepreneurship was realized. My role adapted many times as the company grew to see over double the amount of business from when I started. In this position I learned how to develop procedures focused on efficiency, train onboarding employees and pivot business plans when something isn\'t working. After graduating high school and finishing my time at Red Barn, I moved across the country to pursue a business management degree from the Colangelo College of Business at Grand Canyon University. My studies at the university have taught me the managerial skills, analytical skills and technical skills I need to become an efficient and effective business employee. My minor in entrepreneurial studies is teaching me what I need to stay relevant in the rapidly evolving business, economic and technological environment that exists today.
