ABOUT JULIANNE GARDNER
I am currently based within Northumberland\'s MASH as the Schools Safeguarding Officer. I work alongside colleagues in Children\'s Services, Police, Health and Harbour. My role involves liaising and collaborating with DSLs, collating information to be presented at MASH and providing educational oversight and context. I am the education SPOC for Prevent, Channel, MAPPA and MOSOVO. I also deliver training and support to Northumberland schools within our SLA. I have worked in education for 15 years, predominately within secondary pastoral roles. I have experience of working within the Virtual School advocating for Cared for Children and those children with a social worker through trauma informed practice. I am a trained and experienced DSL, I have worked as a Head of Year, Attendance Manager and Senior SEND Lead. In addition to this, I am a governor at an Alternative Provision. I am passionate about welfare, inclusion and relational practice. My passion for welfare extends beyond young people, I am a Northumberland County Council Domestic Abuse Workplace Champion.
