ABOUT JULIANNA HARTT
Northeastern Alum (2017) who graduated with B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. Currently working full-time as a Senior Project Engineer in the Product Engineering department at Cytiva. My primary background is mechanical, but have considerable electrical experience as well. Design experience has been mostly focused on sheet metal design/fabrication, designing per GD & T standards, and laying out liquid-cooling and recirculating chiller units. This includes laying out components, plumbing, and refrigeration piping and also creating all required documentation for both prototype and production units. Also have experiencing selecting and sizing mechanical components for liquid-cooling systems (i.e. pumps, HX, valves, and tubing). I am constantly trying to design with a high-quality, cost-effective and DFMA mindset while also taking product serviceability and maintenance into account. Prior experience includes two 6+ month co-ops at two companies: Amphenol PCD and Lytron. Both co-ops allowed me to gain experience and knowledge of GD & T standards for military, medical, industrial, and aerospace applications, NPI/prototype design and development, Solidworks modeling and detailing of requirement and fabrication drawings, as well as FAT & QTP testing.
