ABOUT JULIAN JACKSON
With over 9 years of experience as the founder and CEO of VisionBridge, I am a passionate advocate for eye research and eye health, as well as an innovator and facilitator of assistive technology for people with visual impairment and other challenges. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for those who require additional support by championing innovation, collaboration, and accessibility in the fields of eye disease detection, diagnosis, and treatment, as well as digital wayfinding, vision enhancement, reading support, obstacle avoidance, object recognition, scene description and Smart infrastructure. At VisionBridge, we work with a global network of partners, including academics, inventors, tech developers, investors, distributors, voluntary sector groups, professional membership bodies and end-users, to support the development, testing, and adoption of cutting-edge assistive and diagnostic technologies. We also offer consultancy services to help startups and spinouts from universities and the private sector with strategic development, peer-to-peer networking, sales and marketing, and corporate relations. We contribute to the R&D processes behind the latest solutions, apps, and smart infrastructure for differently-abled communities. We also raise awareness and funds for eye research and assistive technology through campaigns, publications, media interviews, and public speaking.
