ABOUT JULIAN DUQUE
As the Communications Director for Congresswoman Teresa Leger Fernández at the U.S. House of Representatives, I act as the formal spokesperson and media liaison for the Member, developing and implementing media and communications strategy for his legislative and non-legislative activities. I evaluate current events and media reports in the district and the nation for their impact on the Member, and provide ideas and advice on the effect in the media of her actions. I also write speeches and other public facing communications for the Member, ensuring that his messages are clear, consistent, and engaging.I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Political Science in 2023, after completing my Associate\'s degree in General Studies from Valencia College in 2020. I am passionate about the intersection of politics, art, and education, and I have a Seal of Biliteracy issued by the Osceola County School District, which certifies my bilingual and bi-literate skills in English and Spanish. I am a future-oriented, doer who strives to make a positive difference in the world through my work.
