Gamchha is a young startup that strives to combine an ancient tradition with modernideas into a business based on humanist principles. We believe that true craft is beautifuland should create equitable value for the ones wearing it and the ones who produced it.Therefore, our weavers and dyers only use locally sourced Eri silk yarn, natural dyes fromplants, roots and fruits and their devotion to the craft to create sublime products.Currently, we produce beautiful handwoven silk scarves in our own factory in the silk cityBhagalupur, India. However, we want to expand our range of products as we furtherengage in the exchange with creative people from all sorts of fields who share our valuesand want to contribute to change.I am delighted to be part of this wonderful project and to connect people and places with a beautiful story and an outstanding product. Among my tasks in business and brand development are- initiating and fostering cooperations with artists and business partners- planning and executing events- creating and evaluating business strategy
