About Juliana Russo Fioravanti

Hi, my name is Juliana. For the last decade, I have supported children in and out of the classroom on their journey to learn—and love—to read. After receiving my BA in Interpersonal Communications with minors in English and Journalism, my passion for reading led me to the classroom. From teaching in New York City to the mountains of Western North Carolina, I have witnessed the transformative power of literacy on students\' lives. As the Partnerships Communication Manager at Learning Ally, an education nonprofit serving students with learning differences, I make a broader impact by connecting with our foundation partners to provide students with accessible and equitable literacy solutions. I am also an active board member and program manager at Friends of Hudson Youth, an education nonprofit that creates more opportunities for children in Hudson to grow, learn, and thrive. I also lead a monthly Read Aloud/Think Aloud program at the Hudson Youth Department that I designed for K-2 students.I consider myself a lifelong literacy advocate. Some of my achievements include significantly helping students with dyslexia and learning differences increase their reading comprehension and phonemic awareness, providing families with access to evidence-based literacy resources, and managing Learning Ally’s philanthropy communication strategy and partnership outreach.Outside of work, I love photography, gardening, hiking, floral design, reading, thrifting, and traveling.
