ABOUT JULIANA GUAQUETA OSPINA

I work with the Director for Private Equity and Venture Capital at IFC, shaping strategy, investment decisions and operations across a $3 billion platform that backs tech startups, funds, and accelerators transforming emerging markets. We IFC concentrate on tech-driven business models in sectors including Fintech, HealthTech, Agtech, Climate Tech, EdTech, Enterprise Technology, e-Logistics and Mobility.As lead for global EdTech investments, I identify and scale solutions in learning, up/reskilling, and job matching. Our investments include Coursera, Andela, Brilliant, Revelo, Preply and Nexford. As an industry specialist, I evaluated growth and late-stage opportunities across Latin America, Europe, and East Asia. I also co-designed flagship initiatives including IFC\'s Digital for Tertiary Education Program, Industry-led Skilling, and Vitae\'s employability advisory. I serve on the Board of Crehana.Before IFC, I helped Coursera build its institutional products—advising universities and corporations on upskilling strategies and developing Coursera for Campus and Career Academies. At the World Bank, I shaped the Learning For All 2020 strategy, conducted research on public-private partnerships, and championed a global commitment to learning outcomes over access alone.I share insights at international forums and contribute to publications including the World Economic Forum and World Bank Group.
