ABOUT JULIANA GAIYA
I am a doctoral researcher studying how artificial intelligence is reshaping recruitment, employability, and labour-market inequality. My research focuses on how automated hiring systems such as CV screening tools, applicant tracking systems, and algorithmic assessments are influencing access to work across the UK labour market. I am particularly interested in how these technologies interact with factors such as age, migration status, education pathways, and non-linear careers.Alongside my PhD, I work in employability and labour-market support, which gives me regular exposure to how real candidates experience digital hiring systems in practice. This combination allows me to connect academic inquiry with the realities faced by jobseekers, employers, and public-sector services. On LinkedIn, I share:Public research and policy discussions on AI in hiringEmerging trends in recruitment technologyEvidence-based perspectives on employability and inclusionPractical insights into how digital hiring systems operateI use this space to translate complex debates about AI, work, and fairness into accessible, professional discussion while my peer-reviewed research is developed through formal academic channels. If you work in recruitment, HR, public policy, employability, or higher education, you are very welcome here.
