ABOUT JULIAN BAUER

Julian is a professional in architecture, urban design, and real estate economics, with a focus on entrepreneurship within the real estate sector. He co-founded Modoplus, an AI platform for identifying redensification and new construction opportunities.Julian has made significant contributions to neighborhood developments, including the Osterbrookhöfe in Hamburg Hamm-Süd, Weddestraße in Hamburg Horn, and the new Elbinselquartier for IBA Hamburg. He was instrumental in co-developing the SAGA Systemhaus, where he successfully secured type approvals in residential construction. His experience spans roles at SAGA Unternehmensgruppe, Gerber Architects, Bieling Architects, and Behnisch Architects.In addition to his practical work, Julian has shared his expertise through scientific work and teaching at HafenCity University Hamburg. He has also been involved in cultural projects like Hotel Shabby Shabby with ARTE and raumlabor berlin, and the University of Neighbourhoods, a project of the Urban Design Department at HCU Hamburg.Julian has been a member of the Chamber of Architects Hamburg since 2017, was recently inducted into the Responsible Leaders Network by the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt, and is a member of the IMMOEBS alumni network. He holds a degree in Real Estate Economics from EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht, a Master’s in Urban Design from HafenCity University Hamburg, and a Diploma in Architecture from TH Würzburg-Schweinfurt.
