At FCPS In the music therapy classroom, I use music to work with students in goals in communication, expression, self-advocacy, regulation, and more. I have been working as a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC) since December 2010, doing sessions primarily with individuals with physical disabilities, developmental/intellectual disabilities, communication needs, gerontology, and hospice. As a music therapist I use music to help others achieve non-musical goals in communication, cognition, movement, or social/emotional domains. Working with music, a uniquely human ability, is a way to change behaviors and improve quality of life in many different ways. Experience in associations/non-profits.
