Game Academy is a service for players of video games. We give players (young people - 14-18, and adults seeking employment or a career change) insight into their talent using cutting edge diagnostics, challenge-based learning and online quests and talks from industry experts.Recruiters and employment organisations often ignore the power of playing video games. Games demand skills and experiences that are essential to the future of work - problem-solving, communication, collaboration. Players, employment and learning providers and local government buy our services because they\'re popular, effective and empowering. We\'re also growing an online community of super-talented players.Game Academy has supported over people in their life progression to date and taken 200+ people into training and jobs. We work extensively with employment organisations and the games and creative / digital industry. The venture is an alumni of the LocalGlobeVC/Atomico/London School of Economics-supported ZincVC venture builder programme, the U.K. Department for Education/NESTA CareerTech Challenge and was a finalist in the Learning Technologies Award, 2022.Proud to be supporting the engagement and on-boarding of learners to the delivery of Skills Bootcamps - A Future in Games (19+), Play Games Build Careers (16-18 year old NEETs in South Yorkshire) and developing new stakeholder relations to invest in harnessing the power of video gaming skills of the next generation of tech savy talent across all sectors, including the rapidly growing Games Industry.
