About Julia Lyons
I serve as a Deputy Clerk for the Criminal Division at Norfolk General District Court where I support court operations and play an active role in upholding due process of law. I recently graduated from George Mason University, where I majored in Criminology, Law and Society and minored in Legal Studies. I aspire to attend law school and eventually work in legal advocacy, social justice, and public interest law to advance the position of women and children in America and around the world. I have a passion for change making, community development, and social justice advocacy as well as extensive experience working directly with communities (locally and internationally) to promote growth. Outside of my 8-4:30, my personal interests include traveling, gaming, reading, music, fashion, photography and working out. Additionally, I enjoy babysitting, mentoring kindergarteners, and volunteering with organizations that are dedicated to uplifting underserved people in our community.
