About Julia Fonteles
I have experience in energy scenario research, climate negotiations and data analysis and continue to be personally and academically engaged on climate change issues. Specifically, my research focuses on the effects of public policies and market trends designed to mitigate GHG emissions in the energy and industry sectors as I continue to be amazed by the power of dematerialization and energy efficiency in pushing forward a global energy transition. Born and raised in Brasilia, I am a firm believer Brazil and other emerging economies have the potential and resources to lead energy transformation efforts across the globe and will continue to work in favor of this transformation. I\'m fluent in Portuguese and English and proficient in French and conversational in Italian
