ABOUT JULIA CRAWLEY-BOEVEY

The world is changing at an unprecedented speed. Whether that’s thanks to the macro role of media and tech in our lives, or the more domestic economic and political shifts that are affecting so many countries today. But one thing unites us all and that is the need to evolve, either as people or as businesses. And while I can’t speak to the shift in personal attitudes, I know something about the evolution of businesses. For nearly 20 years I’ve focused on helping companies of varying scale understand the evolving landscape and to diversify and transform their offering via M&A, so that they are positioned for continued success, whether through the lens of people, product, technology or geography. And for some companies that’s easier said than done, particularly those whose heritage, scale and size is - on paper - at odds with the agility required for effective change. Change isn\'t easy for anyone, whether a business, a person or a group of people. I think this is what unites us all, there is not one person in this world who hasn\'t been through some kind of change, whether big or small. The way we approach change can define how we move on and grow. I am fascinated by this evolving journey that we all go on and how actions or lack of action can impact both in the immediacy and the future. To be able to apply this thinking across both personal and business situations is what makes Strategy and M&A such an interesting field to be in.The day you stop learning, is the day you start decaying - true for you, true for me and true for most businesses.
