Provide veterinary technical leadership to NCBA Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) program including state BQA programs, NCBA affiliates and state beef councils as well as providing written educational content in support of NCBA stakeholder communication efforts- Serves as a spokesperson for NCBA on BQA as well as cattle health and wellbeing issues for checkoff funded efforts to educate producers, beef supply chain members, consumers and those that influence consumers (dieticians, MDs, food bloggers, chefs, etc.)- Build and maintain key relationships with outside veterinary groups, educational institutions and beef industry partners, e.g, academia, extension service, agriculture organizations, allied industry technical representatives, beef industry safety/quality assurance program staff- Serve as an internal resource on cattle health and well being for staff education and stakeholder outreach in coordination with other internal staff technical experts- Assist the producer education and issues management teams in planning and response for cattle health and welfare topics.
