My practice primarily focuses on energy litigation where I assist clients in protecting their ownership interest and investment in the exploration and development of oil and gas. Working collaboratively with clients and industry experts, my team and I develop a strategic approach responsive to each individual client’s needs. My practice goes on to encompass contractual disputes, professional liability claims, actions to protect company’s proprietary information, and business torts such as fraud, negligent misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty and tortious interference. I regularly represent clients on both sides of the docket, and have appeared in matters in forty counties across the State of Texas and Oklahoma.A significant portion of my practice involves the oil and gas industry, including representation of mineral interest owners in suits for lease termination, recovery of royalties and establishment of title. I have represented oil and gas operators in disputes involving joint business partners, service providers and working interest owners. My experience includes cases unique to South Texas such as defending an independent petroleum engineering company in litigation regarding ownership of a mineral estate involving a land grant made by the Government of Spain in 1767.
