About Julia Tjia
From designing club posters in high school to exploring a career in medicine, and now building software and crafting digital experiences, I’ve always been drawn to both the creative and the curious. Starting with graphic design and later diving into the sciences, I developed a deep appreciation for both human behavior and visual storytelling. Discovering tech showed me that I didn’t have to choose between these worlds, but that I could blend them.Each path I’ve taken—art, medicine, and now tech—shapes the way I design today. I design with empathy, aiming to understand users through their unique backgrounds, perspectives, and stories.This helps me create intuitive, inclusive, and meaningful designs that celebrate diverse voices.Great design isn’t just about how things look, it’s about how they work, how they feel, and how they connect with people. Whether I’m coding a sleek interface or wireframing a user flow, I’m always thinking about how to make tech more human.When I’m not designing or coding, I’m probably exploring cafes for the perfect matcha, crocheting something cute, or diving into arts and crafts.
