ABOUT JULIA STEINKE
I have been in the field of Nephrology for over 20 years with a focus on patient focused care in addition to quality improvement work and clinical research. I am currently serving as the Medical Director of Transplant. I have solid leadership experience in the past as Division Chief of Nephrology and as Dialysis Program Medical Director as well. Since 2010, I have focused on kidney transplant as a Medical Director of pediatric kidney transplant programs,My career interests are quality improvement, prevention of acute kidney injury as a hospital acquired condition, and advancing the field of kidney transplantation. In addition, I am passionate about promoting children’s health initiatives, improving access to healthcare and transition to adult medicine. My goal is to pursue my passion for both medicine and quality improvement and take advantage of opportunities for my personal development.
