About Julia S.

Currently supporting the Computing Research Association\'s Education team with the UR2PhD program, an initiative that aims to increase the number of students from underrepresented communities in Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) programs by increasing the quality and scale of undergraduate research experiences. You can read more about the program by visiting: https://cra.org/ur2phd/I previously helped technology companies and non-profit organizations showcase their corporate, brand, and product stories while managing reputational risk. In prior roles, I was responsible for managing client accounts, developing content, and performing high-quality desk research. Before that, I supported several teams within Brown University\'s CareerLAB to make experiential opportunities more accessible. I am a proud alumna of Brown University, where I studied International Relations with a focus on Security and Society. My interdisciplinary studies focused on social, cultural, and political movements. As a first-generation college graduate, I am particularly interested in addressing systemic and historical inequities, and shaping policies and programs that can mitigate those inequities.
