In this position, I assist with event planning and promotion for the OCRCC Annual Gala and Auction, as well as create content for OCRCC social media accounts (Instagram and Facebook). I also conduct donor outreach on behalf of the organization via email and phone, learn how to advocate for survivors and their loved ones through a macro lens, learn the voice of the nonprofit through written communication, learn skills with planning, organizing, and engaging in agency fundraising efforts, learn skills and knowledge around donor engagement/stewardship, the importance of community partners, the beginning stages of a Capital Campaign, and the role of a Board of Directors, and learn skills in cross collaboration with other departments in the agency.
