ABOUT JULIA WILSON

Every year, my elementary school would host a “What do you want to be when you grow up?” day, and every year, I was someone different. An artist, a pastry chef, a mom, an FBI agent, an actress, a lawyer, the list goes on. I loved the distinct joys and challenges that each path brought, and I wanted to experience them all in some capacity.In my junior year of high school (when dressing up as your dream career was frowned upon), I discovered PR. Suddenly, I found a field that let me live many stories at once. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with people whose experiences keep me endlessly curious. At the University of Florida, I’ve honed in on what excites me most about the industry: corporate strategy and global brand storytelling. My business administration minor helps me craft compelling narratives rooted in the numbers that drive businesses forward, while my international communications certificate gives me the tools to understand and motivate audiences across cultures.Each day is new, and that doesn’t just apply to my studies. One day, I\'m spearheading Alpha PR’s first-ever agency trip to Miami, Florida, as VP of Internal Communications. And the next, I\'m creating multimedia content as Director of Communications for RUF, my campus ministry, where I\'ve increased engagement by 115.7% and increased accounts reached by 154.7% in just the months of June to September 2025. How could I ever be bored?As I enter my final year at UF, I am looking forward to the opportunity to share so many more voices and advocate for the stories that keep me on the edge of my seat.
