About Julia Plevin Oliansky

I’m an author, strategist and guide driving deeper synergy between design, innovation, and earth-based healing.I\'m the creator of The Forest Bathing Club —an organization with the mission to reconnect to Nature as a way to heal ourselves, our communities, and the planet. I\'ve led hundreds of people, including Fortune 500 CEOS through transformative nature experiences and curate bespoke experiences for organizations and nonprofits. I\'m the author of The Healing Magic Of Forest Bathing (Ten Speed Press 2019). As the founder Place Based Projects (placebased.org), I am working to restore bioregional/community ecosystems and help enable coherent narratives of place. I was the founding strategy partner at Organism Thinking, a studio designed to bring brands into coherence with living systems and to embody authenticity in every aspect of their business, both internally and externally, in all interactions.I have an BA in History from Dartmouth College and an MFA in Products of Design from The School of Visual Arts.I have worked with top designers at forward-thinking firms such as IDEO, SY Partners, and fuseproject, Moving Brands as well as in-house at tech startups. I have a background in journalism and experience leading creative editorial teams around the world.
