About Julia Beck

As a legal and compliance intern at Mirova and Ascend Learning, I contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices that ensure ethical and responsible business conduct. I also support the legal team in conducting research, drafting documents, and reviewing contracts and agreements. I have over two years of professional work experience in both on-site and remote settings, working both full and part-time while attaining my degree.I am a fourth year student at Northeastern University, pursuing a bachelor\'s degree in political science, and a master\'s degree in criminology and criminal justice. I am passionate about the intersection of law, science, and social justice, and I aspire to use my knowledge and skills to make a positive impact in the world. I have also honed my communication and customer service skills as a server for the last three years, where I strive to deliver high-quality dining experiences to diverse clientele.I have gained valuable leadership experience and work well on a team, having both served as President of Northeastern\'s Women\'s Sailing Team and Captain of Northeastern\'s Women\'s Squash Team. In both roles I have focused on team and community engagement and compliance with our athletic office regulations.
