ABOUT JULIA OSTROUSHKO
Dedicated Project Engineer with 13 years of responsible experience in planning, development & execution of capital projects, complex facility maintenance works, asset reliability & integrity improvement initiatives with costs ranging up to $20 million for the municipal, chemical, mining, semiconductor, petrochemical, oil & gas industries. • Led planning, process design development and automation of two mine contact water treatment plants for EVR with a total hydraulic capacity of ∼ 40 m3/d including complex process mechanical equipment intakes, lift stations & pipe network (new construction), managed a multi-disciplinary team of internal engineers, environmental & regulatory advisors, and external consultants and contractors, interfaced with three consultancies. Oversaw requisition & deployment of complex process mechanical equipment from proposal through commissioning to operation. • Conducted an infrastructure assessment and process performance study of the midstream oil & gas facilities, and an existing produced water treatment plant and utilities with a hydraulic capacity of m3/d for California Resources in Texas, USA. Resulted in improved process mechanical equipment performance, overall reliability and asset integrity by identifying issues, investigating root causes and implementing necessary engineering solutions. • Delivered a complex produced water (a by-product of oil and gas extraction) treatment project for an oil and gas producer in BC including chemical oxidation, dissolved air flotation and cross-flow ultrafiltration technologies to treat and reuse produced water and fracturing flowback, with plant capacities up to m3/day. • Developed a detailed design for a slurry storage/conveyance/dewatering system for the semiconductor plant for a customer in Texas. Delivered IFC P & ID, GA drawings, IFC specifications and IFC datasheets for procurement of major process-mechanical equipment including pumps, tanks, mixers, cranes, filter presses & screw presses. Conducted hydraulics simulation with AFT Fathom software to size and configurate pumps & pipes to transfer high concentrated slurry. • Extensive expertise in development & implementation of key Process Safety Management programs, Asset Management (AM) strategies & Asset Reliability & Integrity (AR & I) improvements, including but not limited to Management of Changes, Pre-Startup Safety reviews, incidents investigation, Process Hazards Analysis, risk-based inspection programs, pigging management, corrosion/erosion management etc.
