About Julia Lewis

Julia is an accomplished issues management specialist. She’s a reporter by training and served on the staff of a state lawmaker prior to joining Perry Communications Group in 2001. Julia brings a powerful mix of skills that drive smart strategy and seamless project implementation. Julia serves as a senior advisor to numerous consumer advocacy groups and is an expert on communications measurement, including providing client counsel on how to quantify the impact and value of issues campaigns. Julia earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism, with an emphasis in News Editorial, and a minor in Political Science from California State University, Chico. She has held board positions with California Women Lead’s Sacramento Chapter, a nonpartisan organization that encourages women to be political leaders, and with the International Association of Business Communicators’ Sacramento Chapter (IABC Sacramento) for four terms, which included two as President. She was recognized in 2011 as IABC Sacramento’s Business Communicator of the Year. When not in the office, Julia is headed for the hills – either packing in Sierra backcountry or hitting Tahoe’s ski slopes. Julia lives in Sacramento’s Land Park with her husband and two daughters.
