About Julia Laing
I am currently a graduate student in the Clinical Psychology Training Program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln under the supervision and mentorship of Dr. Cary Savage in the Center for Brain, Biology, and Behavior. My long-term career goals are to be a board certified neuropsychologist conducting research in the following interest areas:(1) the role of modifiable lifestyle factors that influence the course of brain aging and the risk for neurodegenerative dementias,(2) investigating non-pharmacologic interventions to improve brain function measured by neurophysiological and multimodal neuroimaging techniques, and (3) examining the cognitive mechanisms underlying disordered eating and establish treatment efficacy. Additionally, I hope to evaluate and treat adult patients.
