About Julia Kruk

Hello! My name is Julia, I am a Researcher and Data Scientist passionate about Machine Learning, Multimodality, NLP, and Computational Social Science. I have 8 years of experience conducting ML / NLP / CV research in industry and 3+ years of experience conducting research in academia. I hold a Masters in Machine Learning from Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Bachelors in Physics from Cornell University. My ongoing academic research is focused on Multimodal Reasoning, Coded Language, and Computational Social Science with Prof. Diyi Yang at the Stanford NLP Group. Concurrently, I am a Data Scientist at Bombora, where I develop and maintain ML systems for Identity resolution for in the B2B AdTech space.Special interests include Cross-Cultural Robustness in LLMs & VLMs, Bias Detection, AI for Creativity, and Human-AI Co-creation.
