About Julia Katsovich

I am a Research Associate at the Council on Foreign Relations working on global governance issues, particularly on space governance, Arctic security and cooperation, and international law issues. I am especially interested in and passionate about topics relating to law, constitutional issues, and national security, and am aiming to pursue a career in those fields. I’m a detail-oriented and hard worker, driven by deep curiosity and passion for learning, and for leaving the world better than I found it. During my time in college, I have conducted research on Supreme Court confirmation hearings and the sociological foundations of white nationalism in the U.S. I have also participated in a number of activities, such as organizing a high school Model United Nations conference and leading a pre-law club on campus. During my experiences working for the U.S. Senate and the Wilson Center, I have had opportunities to write policy memos and conduct research on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, space, and digital assets policy.
