ABOUT JULIA HALLIWELL

People are what make businesses successful. Our people should be looked after, respected and managed effectively. As an experience HR professional, I’m passionate about how our people, colleagues, employees make our companies what they are. Championing, supporting and collaborating with those around us is how we grow, learn and succeed! With every passing day, I’m humbly reminded that I haven’t ‘seen it all’ in HR, but I’ve certainly seen and experienced… a lot. Some eye watering stuff too! But perhaps most significantly, I’ve seen the best and the worst at leadership - I’ve had a front row seat! These experiences now drive my focus of being the best leader I can be. I know the true value a happy, balanced, and engaged team can bring to an organisation. I want to lead my team on their path to being the best in their field! I also know how I don’t want to lead (the eye watering stuff!) HR is a fascinating and rewarding role, those working in it are in a unique position of really being able to get under the skin of a business, seeing all the moving pieces holistically, from a place where not many others are able to. It’s always been my belief, which has only been strengthened over recent years working alongside so many businesses, that the HR function metaphorically uses its hands to ‘beat the heart’ of an organisation - working in collaboration with all the other ‘organs’, driving health and delivering success.
