About Julia Flores
I have always admired those individuals who are confident-looking people who are dressed well and are always looking forward. I always knew I\'d be \"one of them\". With a penchant for relationship building and leadership, I have fostered a greater interest in the business world, specifically in marketing. Coming into college, I have become interested in the supply chain sector and am interested in seeing how I can merge the two and broaden my business knowledge. I\'m a student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln I am eager to gain more knowledge in the marketing and supply chain fields and be part of a successful company. I\'ve been a part of many career-enhancing organizations that have given me a positive platform to build upon. My experience as a Clifton Strengths mentor has given me the opportunity to build and grow from what I have learned and the things that I\'ve valued in my life. I can say I have proudly adopted the tactic of \"investing in strengths\" in my everyday life and I am so happy to have mentored and coached young minds like myself into doing the same.Holding two vice president executive positions, one in my sorority Kappa Alpha Theta and the other in the American Marketing Association- Collegiate Chapter, I have learned how to manage a large group and successfully work with others. Through my sorority, I oversee the Bylaws that our chapter operates under and handle daily administrative responsibilities. As VP of the AMA collegiate chapter, I have been able to really leverage my leadership skills and work with people whom I\'ve never worked with before. From planning weekly meetings to hosting networking events, my involvement has brought me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to utilize my skills and invest them in my group and the professionals I work with.
