ABOUT JULIA FEKETE
As a fourth year student at the University of Michigan, majoring in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience, my current aspirations lead to medical school. As I approach the halfway point of my undergraduate experience, I have gained much of my knowledge out of the classroom with my extracurricular activities, volunteering, and my current research. I feel that the skills I have gained outside of the classroom have been most beneficial in my development towards the ability to work with a research, or any, team, to thoroughly collect and analyze data and problem-solve. In my previous lab, I worked alongside other undergraduate students to collect EEG data from elementary school-aged children, from this I have learned patience, efficiency, and am able to work quickly under pressure. My college experience can be defined by the organizations I contribute to whether it’s working with long-term pediatric patients to create a smile, onboarding new members of my sorority, or learning from professional panels in my pre-medical fraternity. I am looking to get a different perspective of the medical profession by gaining experience in all areas of the healthcare field.
