Specific duties include:conduct and document regulatory inspections of licensed food establishments, water recreation facilities (pools and spas), and hotels for adherence to local, state and federal regulations;actively engage in the formal steps and documentation of Enforcement defined by Code to assure due process;respond to citizen concerns regarding licensed establishments;conduct formal Plan Review of food service, pools/spas, and hotels to assure compliance with Code;research and respond to questions and provides guidance and interpretation to public and/or specific agencies concerning public health standards and related environmental health topics;actively participate in the monthly Public Health Response team meetings to maintain readiness to respond to emergencies and outbreaks;and participate in suspect food borne illness outbreak investigations.
