About Julia Martinovich

I have a bachelor degree in software engineering and 9 years of commercial software development expertise. During these years I had projects in different business areas: finance, transportation, human resources management and social networks, e-commerce.I started my career as a full stack developer with Java as a backend and front-end frameworks like Angular JS and React. Later I switched to NodeJS. I have thorough knowledge of ExpressJS framework and also had a project with just pure NodeJS while working with AWS Lambdas. During my career I gained hands-on proficiency with both relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, DB2, MongoDB and DynamoDB. In recent years I have been focused on back-end development with NodeJS, TypeScript and AWS. I’ve been working with such AWS services like Cloud Formation, Lambdas, S3 buckets, different queue and notification services like SQS & SNS, SES, API Gateway and CloudWatch and so on. I have a strong understanding of software development and participated in different stages like gathering requirements, development, test coverage. On my recent project I was also responsible for performing deployments for multiple environments and production monitoring. As a person I’m a strong collaborator and a good team player, I actively participate in Agile ceremonies and believe that pair programing and code reviews are useful and even necessary. I’m patient and scrupulous which makes me a good mentor, I have big and successful experience in onboarding new team members and mentoring less experienced developers.
