ABOUT JULES PETITJEAN

I lead a provincial project services function within Nova Scotia Health, overseeing a team of 50+ project management professionals supporting complex health system initiatives. My focus is on system- and portfolio-level strategy, disciplined delivery and strengthening the conditions required for large-scale transformation to succeed.I oversee the design, deployment and operation of Program and Project Management Offices across the organization, of which there are more than ten. These PMOs are integrated within portfolios as matrix enablers, combining delivery management with people readiness, performance measurement, governance and communication. They serve as both a leadership mechanism for portfolio owners and a practical support structure for project teams. My work sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. I partner with clinical and executive leaders to translate organizational and portfolio priorities into actionable initiatives, align capacity to system needs and facilitate the collaborations required to achieve system outcomes. This includes enterprise-level reporting, portfolio governance, risk management and the continuous maturation of delivery practices across diverse clinical and corporate portfolios.I bring a systems-engineering mindset to leadership, supported by credentials as a PEng, PMP and Prosci Change Management Practitioner. I am particularly interested in how publicly funded health systems build durable delivery capability, enable leaders to govern work effectively and sustain change at scale within complex, unionized and resource-constrained environments.
