Growing up, I actually wanted to be a sports reporter. As a student at NYU, I worked part-time in a law clinic and started to learn more and became very passionate about law. I changed tracks, went to law school, and fell in love with it – knowing this was the right career path for me.Now, I’m an accomplished senior leader with 20+ years of experience interfacing with regulators, bolstering compliance, and building coalitions organization-wide to shift mindsets and drive results. Together, my expertise in privacy, cybersecurity, AI, and governance (as well as my talent for balancing legal risk and innovation) have made me a trusted advisor, adept at identifying and mitigating a host of legal risks. & I’m not afraid to take on any new challenge and am very agile in how I look at things and adapt to different circumstances. Throughout my career, I’ve been on the forefront of new products, technologies, and untapped markets. I learn quickly, help my team learn quickly, and execute to support the business and hit timelines. I believe in learning and growing by doing. I empower my team to stretch and make risk-based decisions – while providing them support and structure, knowing that it will be okay at the end of the day. I sincerely care about the individual development of my team members and actively look for and encourage growth opportunities. With two decades of experience in a highly regulated industry, I am accustomed to working in fast-paced, agile environments that require decisive action. Because of my diverse experience in insurance and technology – both in large organizations and a start-up – I bring a unique understanding of the differing dynamics in both kinds of organizations. Outside of work, I’ve enjoyed working with Pro Bono Partnership, helping nonprofit clients.
