ABOUT JUDY HONG FURTH

I am a Public Finance Attorney at Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth PC in San Francisco. I represent school districts, cities, counties, and other public clients in bond issuances for capital improvement and refunding transactions that save taxpayer dollars. I previously worked at Winstead PC where I represented both public and private sector clients in secured project finance transactions with a focus on public-private partnerships (P3). I helped clients in the negotiation and structuring of a variety of project documents, including developing agreements, construction contracts, and bond financing documents. I have negotiated and structured private and public financings for government entities, university arenas and stadiums, and major developers. I have provided tax exemption and tax rebate advice for hospitality projects, opportunity zones and hospital facilities. I have drafted credit agreements and represented national investment banks as an underwriter for syndicated loans, federal loans, and privatized secured loans for toll road expansions, development of biofuel and energy production facilities, hotel and convention centers, and military housing. I have drafted bond documents for municipal utility districts (MUDs), public improvement districts (PIDs), and other special districts. I graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 2018. During my time there, I was the Managing Editor of the Texas International Law Journal and the director of Medley, Texas Law\'s A Capella group within Assault & Flattery. I was involved in the Texas Business Law Society and the Asian Law Students Association. During law school, I was a summer intern at Norton Rose Fulbright in Dallas, the Attorney General\'s Office in the General Litigation Division, Sidley Austin in Dallas, and Winstead PC. I also clerked for Justice Goodwin at Texas\'s Third Court of Appeals.
