Reaching a 30 year milestone in the payments industry, I thought this would be a good time to update my profile. After establishing, growing and leading the Global Network Product team for over 10 years, late in 2020 my team was restructured into multiple different groups reporting into different geographies and multiple Product organizations. My focus for the company changed to being the Product Executive partnering with our Technology organization to develop and begin establishing the next generation of Visa\'s payments network, VisaNet. After two years of leading this effort as a separate dedicated team we incorporated the effort into a broader Product and Technology modernization effort. Transitioning off the Network Modernization leadership role I was asked to to support our Latin America and Caribbean Region, Global Product and Corporate Development teams by leading the Product and Technology Improvement planning for a newly announced joint venture in Mexico. As with any venture we are now working with the Mexico government and regulatory agencies to receive approval to finalize the transaction. During this period given my deep knowledge of the payments processing industry and the Mexico market, I am working with a small team dedicated to planning for integration activities to ensure the success of our desired joint venture. My efforts in support of the current role and my accomplishments can largely be attributed to executing and operating effectively at the intersection of business and technology. Critical to this efforts is forging strong relationship between technology, product development and product management Executives and working teams.Continuing to champion a direct, open and collaborative working environment, I strive to be execution focused on emerging trends and opportunities within the payments ecosystem in order to at the forefront of adopting new and smarter technologies, ensuring the continued success of Visa’s Processing Network of Networks.Prior to joining Visa in 2002, I held roles within MasterCard International in similar global processing business roles and before that, sales executive roles in the finance industry at IBM.
