Major Responsibilities of Position: • Ensure “as-built” documentation is provided to Engineering in a timely fashion. Use the findings to recommend continuous improvement. • Tracking and controlling the construction schedules and the associated costs for achieving project completion within the budget and time allotted. • Reporting to the senior management on the progress of a project and necessary modifications to be executed. • Supervising immediate subordinates (Electricians, Crew Leaders, Equipment Operators, Truck Drivers) to manage installers, subcontractors and schedules that are related to the daily construction issues of a project. • Review and approval of weekly time sheets including oversight of prevailing wage work plans to actual time worked. • Manage the schedule for all self-performing personnel through direct oversight of the Operations Manager (scheduler) • Reviewing progress reports, checking reported difficulties and correcting any safety violations, quality issues or other deficiencies. • Review of blueprints for brand quality standards and construction feasibility • Tracking/Notation of all project progression • Create/Implement procedures and forms for more effective project completion • Review and coordinate equipment estimates as necessary for project completion • Coordinate with vendors on necessary estimates, deliveries and concerns if they should arise • Carry out a review of work progress on a regular basis • Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks to our projects and Harvest. • Make sure that construction standards are of high quality and ensure the use of proper construction techniques • Plan, as well as make decisions to prevent problems and any emerging ones • Act as Apprentice Committee member offering guidance and feedback to Apprentices to ensure their engagement in the program. • Make hire, discipline and termination recommendations in alignment with company policy and procedures.
