Created the Facility Recycling Program by using the 5S Lean approach (sort, straighten, shine, standardize, sustain)- to enhance the workplace Safety & Productivity and ensure compliance with federal and local regulatory requirements resulting in 90% of materials were recycled and 10% could be reused. Additionally, the 5S program resulted in gained space that was occupied by other fast-growing functions. • Developed a global and site-specific Recycling Program for Battery crates that met federal and local requirements. The created transparency to all parties reduced the loss of crates by almost 100%. • Updated the chemical inventory list in Sphera for all labs and documented the volumes for the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS). • Managed worldwide Safety Data Sheet (SDS) development for company specific products. • Created comprehensive lab signs with lab owners contacts, Chemical Hazards Pictograms, Classification of Hazardous Material by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Warning signs of Physical Hazards and the required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). This allows first responders to evaluate the hazard situation and enables lab owners to enforce the use of PPE. • Performed and documented inspection walks in labs to address and correct safety issues throughout labs and office buildings. • Draw CAD Emergency Evacuation Map for a newly occupied warehouse building. • Performed recurrent EH & S activities like storm water sampling to report to the Californian Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan. • Supported the sustainability efforts of the global group locally through action and education.
