David Lusk Gallery, “DLG”, is a contemporary art gallery representing regional and national artists, fostering a vibrant arts community. As Director, I oversee daily operations, manage staff, and curate exhibitions, acting as a liaison between artists, community members, local businesses and the DLG team. I spearhead public programming, outreach strategies, and community engagement initiatives, aligning with the gallery’s mission to make art accessible and inclusive. My role emphasizes collaboration with artists and audiences to create meaningful cultural experiences. Since joining, the gallery has reinstated “First Saturday” art crawl participation and collaborated with creative leaders in the Nashville community to provide essential programming to events like Artville and the Nashville Antique and Garden show. In addition to community programming, I write all exhibition press releases and create press pitches focused on our artists and their exhibitions for media outlets. I regularly communicate with our artist roster about projects and opportunities to support the growth of their studio practices. Additionally, I oversee all social media channels, as well as the gallery’s email marketing and communications.
