ABOUT JUDICAELLE IRAKOZE

Judicaelle Irakoze is a grassroots feminist organizer passionate about articulating and unpacking the experiences of African women and girls. With over 10 years of experience, Judicaelle’s advocacy work exists at the intersections of feminist movement building, reproductive justice, and promoting a feminist society. Judicaelle has coordinated young African feminist movements in 15 countries through multiple consultancies for multilateral Organizations like UNHCR, Civicus, Oxfam, Plan International, AWID, MAMA Network, Global Fund For Women and institutions like the London School of Economics, and Manchester Metropolitan University. Judicaelle is experienced in research and documenting women’s experiences, design thinking, project building, and management with special expertise in Gender justice, program development with national and international nonprofit organizations, and adopting disruptive and decolonial funding mechanisms.Judicaelle is a global facilitator engaged in critical analysis. She moderates conversations globally on issues ranging from racial equity, the economic, political, and social status of women and girls, African political affairs, and more. Judicaelle is also a storyteller who believes in mainstreaming the stories of African women both on the continent and in the diaspora. In 2013, her short story: Mamoutchka was published in the anthology \" a season of building houses\" by the telling room. She is the 2019 European Commission young leader on Migration and the G20 young global changer on Gender Equality and a delegate at the International Congress of Youth Voices. She is a recipient of the \" Best Founder of A Global Community Gender Equity Organization\" by Acquisition International.\" You Inspire us award \" by the women\'s peace foundation and \" activist of the year \" by Tuvugane awards. Judicaelle is passionate about advancing a vision of intersectional feminism through teaching, writing, and advocacy at all levels, from the interpersonal to the global. She is passionately driven by the need to protect human rights for those currently marginalized.
