ABOUT DAVID BRANNON

Judge David D. Brannon was elected to Montgomery County Probate Court in November of 2020, with his term beginning February 9, 2021. Judge Brannon serves as the Administrative Judge and Clerk of the court. As Probate Judge, he serves the residents of Montgomery County, Ohio, by presiding over adoptions, mental health matters, guardianships, estates, trusts, marriage licenses, name changes and numerous other unique probate matters. Besides fulfilling traditional judicial responsibilities, Judge Brannon is charged with additional duties such as making appointments to various county boards and organizations, approving construction to courthouses and jails, and participating in budgetary and other governmental functions. Judge Brannon has taken an active role in working to resolve some of the County\'s most pressing problems such as housing those suffering from mental illness, child abuse, the lack of guardians for incompetents and fixing archaic probate laws through legislative committees.
