Working for Plumas Hotshots has allowed me to become highly trained in the complexity of wildland firefighting. We are equipped to work in remote areas for long periods of time, while still maintain our effectiveness as a unit. Our crew has fought fire in various strategic ways. From initial attack to burning operations, we are able to fight fires in various modes of attack. We work with other crews, strike teams, aircraft, and more to create effective communication and create an established force to fight wildfires.

ABOUT JUDE CARABETTA-GONCALVES
I am a graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. I graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor degree in Forestry and Natural Resources. I now work as a wildland firefighter full time for Plumas Hotshots. I am also a Nationally Certified Emergency Technician. Further on in my career path, I hope to become a municipal firefighter and help the people of the community that I am a part of.
