Led and partnered in Data Analytics efforts across audits including Fincrime, Safeguarding, Customer Support, Complaints and Entity Allocation; deep diving with teams to understand business and product logic, working with Internal Auditors to define the art of the possible, distilling tests and logic from this and iterating over logic in collaboration with first-line stakeholders, resulting in highly accurate, business-accepted findings. Introduced LLM-driven testing in Internal Audit, analysing free text and unstructured data to provide “automated assurance” over whole populations of data instead of manual sample testing. Used for audio transcription, classification testing (typologies, jurisdiction) and quality evaluation of internal documents. Solution was requested by business for other regulator requests with short turnarounds, saving ~170+ human hours for one request. Built the team’s first process mining solution, creating an interactive JS-based process map and statistical summary of events and transitions. This was developed into a reusable tool and used across multiple audits, assisting in identifying and quantifying thematic issues (bottlenecks, unexpected paths, data quality issues, large time variations in expectedly standardised processes) which were raised with the business (first-line). Owned code reviews and QA, improving accuracy and efficiency of code, improved team’s understanding of data and identified primary sources of truth across product, engineering and analytics teams for key datapoints.
