Having worn many hats, I\'m a trained software developer and I am currently a DevOps Automation Engineer and enjoy automating things, making software faster and deploying things in the cloud. I\'ve been using AWS since 2009 and I was one of the first 100 people to be AWS certified, with an AWS Certified Solution Architect – Associate.My favorite language is C, Go and Ruby, depending on what needs coded. I can also code in C++, Bash, Perl, Python, Javascript, or whatever I have docs for. I am currently learning Rust.I am an advocate and contributor to open source software, having used Linux since 1994. I have a small patch included in the 2.4 and up Linux kernels, a feature patch in HAProxy, many contributions to pilot-link as well as other open source software.The first iPhone was released in 2007. I was carrying around a PalmOS handheld computer in 1998. I am the author of J-Pilot, an Open Source desktop application for the Palm Pilot. J-Pilot runs on about any Unix/Linux, is translated to 20 languages, and was used by companies such as Redhat, Oracle, IBM, Intel, SGI, Delphi, GM, Ford, and more. J-Pilot has been reviewed in PalmPower, Linux Magazine, Maximum Linux, PC Quest (Indian), C\'T (German), and Linux Magazine (Japanese). The project consists of over lines of code, supporting documentation, a website, email list, source control, and tech support. The project still has a small following.
