About Judd Kessler
I\'m the inaugural Howard Marks Endowed Professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. My research uses a combination of laboratory and field experiments to answer questions in Market Design, Public Economics, Labor Economics, and Behavioral Economics. My research and writing have been featured in leading media, such as The Atlantic, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Harvard Business Review, NPR, Hidden Brain, and Freakonomics, among others. I teach undergraduates, MBAs, PhD students, and executives for the Business Economics and Public Policy Department at Wharton. I\'m the author of \"LUCKY BY DESIGN: The Hidden Economics You Need to Get More of What You Want,\" which was released by Little, Brown Spark in October 2025.
