ABOUT JUAN SHAJU
I’m Juan Shaju, a filmmaker and visual storyteller. I focus on building worlds that feel lived-in and carry weight beyond the screen. My work sits at the line between atmosphere and intention. Whether I’m shooting Signal 86 on a Bolex in stark black and white or directing a crew on my psychological horror Subject V, I stay close to the craft. Every frame and sound choice matters. I make films that stay with people after the credits roll. I study Film at Toronto Metropolitan University, but most of what I know comes from working. I’ve led production crews, scored scenes in FL Studio, built a brand from scratch, and put in long nights editing until a cut feels right. I’ve learned how to direct with focus, pitch without a budget, and solve problems fast when the set turns unpredictable. I started Nova Realm Entertainment to house my work and to give other artists a platform. I write, direct, produce, and edit. I like being hands-on and close to every stage of the process. I’m open to collaboration with people who want to push film further. If you’re drawn to stories that linger, we’ll work well together.
