About Juan Salinas
Selected as a future participant in a suborbital space mission, I am preparing to make history as the first Ecuadorian to reach space. This is a milestone I hope will inspire the next generation in science, technology, aviation, and exploration.I bring extensive experience as a flight test engineer across commercial, corporate, and general aviation sectors, contributing to major programs at Boeing, Piper, and Gulfstream. My engineering background includes maintenance and design engineering in systems and structures for the Airbus A330 and multiple Boeing fleets, including the 717, 737, 747, 767, and 787.During my time as a Boeing Field Service Representative in Southeast Asia, I supported Entry-Into-Service for the and 787 fleets, working directly with airlines, maintenance teams, and engineering leadership to ensure safe and successful fleet introduction.Driven by innovation and a passion for training, I designed and built a fully functional Airbus A320 flight simulator, now in the process of being certified by the FAA as an FTD. I also own and fly an Extra 330 LX and a Sonex Subsonex jet continuing to push the boundaries of human performance, G-tolerance, and precision flying.
