ABOUT JUAN MERCADO
My journey in student affairs began during my undergraduate studies at MSU Texas. As a student assistant for the Office of Student Development and Orientation I gained a passion for higher education and student development. I have since gained valuable experience in both student affairs and academic affairs. I worked in several areas such as Student Orientation, TRIO Student Support Services, First-Generation Student Support, Residential Life, Admissions, and Tutoring and Academic Support Programs. My passion for creating a welcoming and inclusive campus environment that promotes the holistic development of students has been the driving force behind my work. Through strategic planning, programming, and making meaningful connections, I have been able to create a positive impact on college campuses.
